AcidRip is an automated frontend for MPlayer/Mencoder written in Perl, using Gtk::Perl for a graphical interface. It makes encoding a DVD just a one-button click!

Thanks for this app. I spent some hours one windows trying a lot of different softwares before coming back to linux and uprading from version 0.9 to version 0.12. This soft is far above everything I tried on windows in term of simplicity, and also performance since I encode at more than 50 fps vs 40 fps on windows (with a build of mencoder optimized for my platform, I must admit).

The new features are great and the stop button is actually working now :-)

This software is definitely part of the linux essentials.
