Screenshot About:
aMule is short for "all-platform eMule-like file-sharing program", or, in short, "all-platform Mule". It's a port of the well-known eMule P2P client for the eDonkey2000 and Kad file sharing networks, supporting most of eMule's features. Additionally, it provides a small separate Web server and command line interface to connect to a running aMule via the network.

Wow, xMule zealots propaganda, quoting Ted himself. Way to go, dudes.

[»] Works very well, and is much better than xmule
by Floyd - Jan 3rd 2004 05:43:57

I switched over from xmule to amule. Nice interface indeed, and none of the crashes i had with xmule. Nice work!
Take care that if your harddisk fills up, amule will just stop more and more files without telling you why!

[»] Red Hat 9--wxWindows--aMule--56k--all in harmony
by kyloe - Oct 6th 2003 22:54:11

As the subject says, marvelous, absolutely.

With customizable connection settings to suit various connections speeds, aMule is realy humming along nicely and quietly. The aMuel client, which is the latest fork in the xMule project, brings to the user a graphic design that is easily understood and simple to use which gives the freedom of peer to peer filesharing over the internet.

Thought there is no help documentation on the, aMule 1.0.5 release, IRC is a few keys away on:

IRC: Channel #aMule on EFNET IRC Network

I will recomend aMule with confidence and express my thanks to open source.

        .
WxWindows is one of the main installations that I had to undertake to finally let the aMule program load and run. I am not a professional programmer so after alot of collaboration on one of my first IRC channels to aMule I may have known better than to post a guide to others. But hey, I tried!
