[»] tooltip problem
by BluesMoon - Dec 14th 2003 10:56:52

this is a very cool theme, but the only problem i'm having is that tooltips don't show up correctly. the background of a tooltip is made up of a warped bitmap from some part of the screen very near the mouse pointer. hope you understand what i'm saying.

on further tests, this seems to happen with mozilla firebird, but not with other applications

[»] Another Problem with AquaX
by ccyanescens - Oct 21st 2003 21:09:20

I've successfully changed the 'controls' and 'window borders' (through AquaX and AquaOS, respectively), but my icons don't look like the AquaX ones. I can see the icons clearly in the ~/.themes directory but they aren't being used for some reason. They don't appear in the 'icons' tab of the Theme Details dialog either.
Can somebody please help?

Thanks.

ps. other than this problem (which is probably just something wrong with me) this is a great theme

Sorry for the confusion, but when I said icons I meant buttons. I realize that there obviously shouldn't be anything AquaX-related in my icons tab or icons directory, but I'm still having this problem.

[»] black stripes
by Joost - Jan 18th 2003 05:50:51

I really like this theme, but i have got one problem: Sometimes i see black vertical stripes all over a certain window. It's not always the same window; it differs all the time. I have got this problem with another aqua-look-a-like theme too. Does anyone know what my problem is? Thanks, Joost

[»] Memory Leak?
by nayr - Oct 30th 2002 18:04:08

ok, I went from normal GTK theme to the aqua gtk (not gtk2) theme, im running debian testing, i had to apt-get gtk-engine-pixmap to get this theme working...

to bad now my memory usage keeps going up until it crashes, ive got 512MB ram and with just 2-3 GTK programs running it slowly increases with use for about a day before my machine locks up... I switch back to default theme and everything works ok... what is the deal? is it the theme? gtk? pixmap? would upgrading to gtk2 work (dunno if i can in debian)

ok, i got the gtk2 libs and changed my .gtkrc file to include "/usr/share/themes/AquaX/gtk-2.0/gtkrc" and still awefull memory usage, everytime I switch a window in Xchat more and more memory is used and never let go, default theme does not do this, sigh.. guess I will try another aqua theme and hope it dont do the same -nayr

by Crevette - Oct 5th 2002 05:37:47

Hello I 'm the creator of Snow-Apple (theme for Nautilus) which try to ive a Mac Os X felling.
Just to say that Your theme is the best Aqua for gtk I ve seen.
I set most of part of my nautilus theme, but there is a lack of object (sidebar ,icon for toolbar for Nautilus 2.x). I created thieses object but my HD crashed last week.
It would be great if we work together to give an general good aspect, for Gnome users; as I Will use some part of your theme in order to include them in mine.

mail me at bmm80@ifrance.com

thanks

(sorry for my bad english)

    [»] Problem w/ AquaX Theme
    by Brian Thomas - Oct 18th 2002 19:29:53

I have RH 8 & Gnome2. I installed this theme sucessfuly under the 'application' tab under 'Prferences->Theme' , but the 'Window Border' preference tab ignores the AquaX selection and doesn't load any AquaX preferences. Any suggestions? Thank You

I too would like this resolved. I've played with some workarounds, none of them satisfactory.

It's normal Aqua X is a gtk Theme, ot a Metacity theme.
      Find the Aqua Metacity theme
