by Michiel van Baak - Jan 19th 2005 09:36:04
As of today we offer you Covide 5.0
This release adds English and German translation for the software. The
manual is not translated yet, but will be before March since we are going
to the Cebit in Hannover Germany and we want to show 3 complete languages.

We have a working English version in CVS now.
The new release will have some documentation on how to change the language
settings.
To get the latest version from CVS:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sf.net:/cvsroot/covide login (no password
needed)
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sf.net:/cvsroot/covide checkout covide

Very interresting project
by bjartur - Jun 23rd 2004 06:42:21
Hello,
yesterday I found your Project here on freshmeat and after looking around
on your website (flashdemo) I can say that your project is what I'm looking
for.
Have you planned to bring out a german version?
If you need some help for translating in german, please let me know.
Regards, Andreas (bjartur)

Hi,
Right now we are almost done with the english translation of the
project.
In our development version it is already active but some parts still show
Dutch text.
That's why we didn't release it yet.
We are at 95% roughly.
If we have translated it all we will have a template for gettext so the
application can be translated to any language pretty easily.
Thank you very much for the offer to help translating. We are indeed
intending to put German translation on our todo list as soon as the English
is done.
Will drop you a note as soon as we're ready for it :)
Greetz,
Michiel van Baak

Sounds good
by zz - Jun 5th 2004 17:45:43
It's great to hear about this project.
When I went to the web site/demo, I didn't see a way to switch to English,
and so it looks like I won't be able to use it.
Is there internationalization already built in?
Thanks!

Right now we are working to integrate gettext i18n support.
Roughly 85% of all Dutch text is translated to English right now.
We hope to be done with the English port before the end of the month.
