 D.A.E. - Default branch
Section: Themes

Added: Tue, Apr 17th 2001 04:34 PDT (7 years, 1 month ago) Updated: Sat, May 4th 2002 20:51 PDT (6 years, 0 months ago)

Screenshot About:
The backdrop in this shot was inspired by the one shipped with blueHeart. D.A.E. owes a lot of its feel to blueHeart, though it is not a hack or a re-colour. All widgets support mouse over highlighting, and there are separate images for sticky borders. There are also a fair few different border styles (23 so far with 3 left side borders). More will be added at a later date. D.A.E. GTK and gkrellm themes are available.

[»] Free to good home

I kept saying I was going to update this, I lied.

I don't use this theme anymore (at all, no, not ever!). If anyone would like to update/maintain this they are more than welcome, just mail/note me with your id and you'll be the proud maintainer of this sketchy, OLD theme along with the gtk theme.

this offer is not negotiable ;)

[»] Cluttered?
by N/A - May 15th 2001 16:00:22

I have recently managed to talk my monitor into displaying highr resolutions (got off my lazy ass and messed about with the XF86config ;). I thought yeah, higher rez, nice but now d.a.e. looks cluttered and messy...

Time for an overhaul but to what do i do...

A: Brighten everything up and take out the high contrast?

B: Add more borders and hope no will notice :)

C: Put it all to expirience and make a new theme? (i suppose i could make a hack of my own theme *grin*)

Comments/wishlists welcome :)

[»] Bye bye BlueSteel
by N/A - Apr 26th 2001 07:13:19

I have to say, this is the best theme I've seen in a long time. It's the only theme that has managed to dislodge BlueSteel from my system in fact! Congratulations! I look forward to any updates :)

I am honoured that any one would feel that way this theme, thank you :)

Yes, I totally agree with that. I've been using
BlueSteel for about 1 year on my home PC, office
PC and finally on my notebook but now I switched
    everything to DAE.
