Screenshot About:
LTris is a Tetris clone with nice effects, graphics, and sound. It has a menu, a highscore, a two player mode, and an advanced game mode in which you get a new figure in each level and later suddenly-appearing tiles and lines.

[»] cool game, but quitting should be easier
by Ben Crowell - May 10th 2003 11:36:42

My wife is totally addicted to this game -- to her, it's the main reason for Linux to exist :-)

But I echo the complaint about quitting the game. It really should go away when you click the (x) box in the KDE window. It's really not obvious how to get out of it.

[»] Game is great, but closing it is a bitch!
by Kevin K - Oct 31st 2002 11:05:53

... Ltris doesn't seem to work right with my ximian desktop, clicking the 'X' in the corner of the window doesn't shut it down.

'esc' requires a 'y' to confirm shutdown, at which point that's one step to 'game over', then another to the 'new game' screen, another to the main screen, and finally one more (plus waiting for fadeout) to quit. That's five keystrokes to stop playing.

Also, it takes over /dev/dsp even when audio is set to 'off'.
