Good job and aone small suggestion

I like this theme, it's clean and cute. One small suggestion I would like
to add. Can you make the title characters in white? With my 1600x1200
setting, the title bar characters are a little bit too small. And it's not
easy to read in DarkGrey/Black and Blue/Black combination. I feel it will
be cool if they are Dark Grey/White and Blue/White.

This has been suggested before. The reason I havn't done it is because It's
trying to mimic a design and I like keeping as close to that design as I
can. You should be able to edit the colors yourself if you want but I'm not
planing on changing them. Sorry.

First, excuse for my English.
Your two versions of minGuE are excellent, I use both of them in my Linux,
and I like the look. Congratulations.
Second, you say if we have any suggestions, then we comunicate to you.
I have attached a screenshot , It's usseful to me to explain two initial
changes:
1.- A new part to put a thin line (invisible: your look not change) of
vertical resize to make easy any user change the size of all borders on any
windows. Useful in many windows and when a windows bring in bad position
or size, and only the top border is accessible. I attach the code in
border.cfg under these lines.
2.- I have changed the normal color and active and appareance to make more
consistent with the others widgets: yellow and shadowed, and black and
shadowed. I also attach the code in textclases.cfg under these lines.

Please--add some sort of background to this theme

I don't care if the background is a solid color, but put in something so
that the theme background of the last theme I used doesn't intrude into the
mineEguE theme. It makes it look "broken". P.S. a dark red background would
complement the theme borders pretty well.

One question...

I've always liked this theme a lot, and I like how it has progressed.
However, I've noticed that when I left-click to get at the User Menus, the
top of each arrow image appears to cover up the bottom of the image above
it. Then, when I access a submenu from there, each arrow image is
dis-proportionately stretched vertically.
Does anyone else see this, or is it just me? Is there a setting within the
theme that determines how the arrow images are displayed?

This is a great theme, but I have one nit-picky suggestion: Go back to the
older epplet close button style. It just seems to me that the round button
doesn't fit in with the rest of the epplet widgets.

I agree... Thanks for mentioning it. The reason I did it was at first, all
the epplets I had were the 16pxl high kind on which the current close
button looks nice. Now that the standerd epplet size has more or less
become 48^2, the current close button is quite out of place. I'll change it
for the next update.

I love this one. I love this one so much I even downloaded the matching
GKrellM theme... Ben, you could send me into nirvana by doing the Eterm
auto mode and iconbox imageclasses. And maybe make the tooltips more sober,
those cute clouds don't fit the style IMHO.

Best Theme Yet!

Really nice job on this one! It's even put Absolute E as number 2 of my
favourites! Really nicely done. Once you get the tooltips fixed up (and
maybe redo the pager borders) this will be a tough theme to beat!

GNOME Pager bug...

Hi,
I've installed the Zap5 and QNX/Photon GNOME themes. These look and work
super, I recommend them. I've also installed the QNX lookalike theme for
E "minEguE". The author did a wonderful job in getting the QNX interface
down. However if I "save current session" when I'm running this theme
(and this one alone) the next time I "startx"I get a warning that I'm
not using a GNOME complient WM and that the pager cannot work. If I run
"minEguE" and do not save session then the pager runs fine.
I could just use "BrushedMetal" and switch to the QNX look alike after
I'm running in X but that kind of kills the mood if you know what I
mean. Any clues?

I'd like to note that I get the exact same error. I assume it's either a dr
.15 vs CVS version error, or something in the theme itself. If anyone has
a fix for this, I would like to hear of it.

Good theme..qnx.com/amiga icons?

Like the theme alot, Your screenshot isnt that good-looking tho (no
offense)...and i've been looking for QNX Photon icons, and well I've heard
that QNX isnt happy about having those icons used for anything other than
their OS, but obtaining those icons can be done simply by downloading the
screenshot, opening gimp, and cutting and pasting them onto their own
transparent PNG file =) (The huge black boarder around the icons helps
alot)

Regarding the icon thing...
Don't worry once there's a public version released you'll be able to get a
better look at all the icons and widgets.
I don't mind if you spend the time to cut them out and drop them in Gnome
or KDE for your own purposes - but please just don't package them up onto a
web site. At that point you've overstepped the bounds of "personal use" of
a copyrighted image.
OS icons are like product branding - if they become diluted, available on
all platforms, the product that you've spent years laboring over is itself
diluted and made less valuable, less identifiable.
Regarding Linux Skins...
I can draw a few hundred variations of buttons. Undoubtedly I will hit
upon the standard mac, windows and NeXT styles. Do they own these
particular arrangement of lines and colors? Probably not. Is it worth their
time to complain about a single cloned button style? Doubtful.
But this can be extended to windows, menus, toolbars, you name it. What if
you were to take *every one* of these and package them together - now
you're getting into more touchy territory. Someone has to go through
*extensive* effort to figure out how the scrollbar will look in every
state, how the buttons will look disabled, etc. Complete interface rip-offs
are something entirely different.
An infinite amount of monkeys banging on an infinite number of terminals
may produce the latest Gibson novel...but if they tried to sell it they
still be violating his copyright.
Just a few thoughts.
