Powertweak-Linux

I have tried unsuccessfully to uncompress both the gzip and
bzip2 versions of this software after I have downloaded the
tarball. The system I used to do the uncompression is RedHat
6.1, so I presume it is not a problem of old compression
software. I get messages about CRC errors and data corruption; any ideas
or suggestions?

Has anyone actually tried this? I'm reluctant to touch it, especially
since there aren't any details as to what it actually does on the website.

I would tell you what it does, but when I run it I get:
powertweak: /usr/share/pci.ids, line 1930: parse error
and I don't know why!!!
