Great project

Building from CVS was a bit quirky, but the
.tar.gz built easily. This is perhaps the highest
quality KDE app I've seen outside the KDE project
(and better than many inside it). Solid, stable,
complete, friendly, and fast.

Dependency on KDE

This is a wonderful program and I think many in the linux community would
benefit from this if the program was made available not solely for KDE
users...but people using other window managers too. Perhaps the author
could consider making the program more generic to X and less specific to
KDE.

The Mandrake binary rpm is broken

The current Mandrake rpm calles for libkdeprint
which has been discontinued by kde. They are
asking everyone to rebuild with newer libraries.
Therefore, until someone donates a fixed rpm,
download the source and rebuild

file is gzipped twice

The tar.gz file for this project seems to have been gzipped twice. To
extract, first gunzip it, then run tar zxvf on it. Note, you have to use
the z flag even after gunzipping, because the file is still gzipped.

This has now been fixed and only needs to be extracted in the normal
way.
tar xzf uml-1.0.3-1.tar.gz
