The ext2fsprogs package contains essential ext2 filesystem utilities which consists of e2fsck, mke2fs, debugfs, dumpe2fs, tune2fs, and most of the other core ext2 filesystem utilities.

Release focus: Minor bugfixes

Changes:
This release adds support for Hashed-Tree Directory Indexing to e2fsck, clarifies the e2fsck error message which is printed when it cannot find sufficient contiguous blocks when relocating filesystem metadata, adds support for building an EVMS plugin module for ext2/3, adds a new utility program (/sbin/findfs), and updates and clarifies various manpages. If there are no filesystems specified on fsck's commandline, it now treats that as if the -As options were given,
